Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. While perhaps religious in origin, Thanksgiving is now primarily identified as a secular holiday. [1]
The date and location of the first Thanksgiving celebration is a topic of modest contention. The traditional "first Thanksgiving" is the celebration that occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621. The Plymouth celebration occurred early in the history of what would become one of the original thirteen colonies that became the United States. The celebration became an important part of the American myth by the 1800s. This Thanksgiving, modeled after celebrations that were commonplace in contemporary Europe, is generally regarded as America's first. Elementary school teacher Robyn Gioia has argued that the earliest attested "thanksgiving" celebration in what is now the United States was celebrated by the Spanish on September 8, 1565 in what is now Saint Augustine, Florida.[2][3] Today, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada. Thanksgiving dinner is held on this day, usually as a gathering of family members and friends.

I figured we can all use this info on Thanksgiving. Overall... Just give thanks for your family, friends, dogs, cats, life, people who you love and don't like so much. Just give thanks no matter what it is... It just feels good  man!

Yeah... Today I am 41 years young and I am definitely not in my 30's anymore... Hehehe. 40 was weird and I was kind of freaked out but 41 is a little strange for me. Now I definitely do not feel 41 but just the fact that I am in my 40's is kind of funky... Anyway, whatever... I feel pretty good and I am lucky to have such wonderful family and friends around me. Here is some birthday tracks for mine and your listening pleasure.

Sorry about not posting but I have been, well... Slacking. Anyway for some reason I signed up for this Trackle thing and I do not know how I did but here is some amazing information.

Daily Tidbits for 11/16/2009

Celebrities born on this day: Terry Labonte, Marg Helgenberger, Lisa Bonet, Martha Plimpton, Diana Krall, Trevor Penick, Oksana Baiul, Rita Salema, Tammy Lauren, Burgess Meredith

Celebrity Gossip: Despite our culture's obsession with celebrity there are some people whose chart makes them entirely unsuited to the levels of public attention that comes with fame. Stephanie Pratt is one such person whose life would be much happier if she were willing to fade back into obscurity. Unfortunately, there is a very problematic influence from Mercury in her chart, which suggests that she will go to any lengths to remain in the public eye!

Today's Chinese Proverb: A smile will gain you ten more years of life.

Today's Motivational Quote: Tranquil pleasures last the longest; we are not fitted to bear great joys. -- Christian Bovee

Today's Wisdom from around the world: A woman either loves or hates, there is no third course. -- Latin Proverb

Forecast for people born on this day: Happy Birthday! The months ahead will be focused on communication of all kinds and by the end of the year you should have a much clearer idea of where you are going in your life. You should also have developed a much closer and more understanding relationship with a special person in your life. The highlight of the year is likely to come around early June. At this time there will be an opportunity for some serious progression at work or school and this may well be associated with an increase in your regular income. Romantically, this year is all about the consolidation and deepening of an existing relationship although there may some tension to resolve in the first few months of the year!
