SIMPLY RUCKUS

What more could be said about Benji Pierson AKA "Ruckus" The man, in my opinion is one of a kind. If you know him, you would know what I'm saying and if you don't... well...better at least meet him once.

Born and raised in Seattle and dealt with Epilepsy for the first 15 years of his life. In turn, that gave him plenty of time to draw. He admired artists such as Joe Johnson and Ralph McQuarrie. Both Sci_Fi art geniuses. He went to college for graphic design but ended up quitting to go snowboarding. He moved to Jackson Hole in 2002 and has been causing a Ruckus since!

He is the Art Director for Storm Show Studios and he is also the primary artist for Rob Kingwill's Avalon 7 snowboarding collective. He Sci-Fi Graffiti style has been seen all around town and just recently at the Snake River Brewing Company. If you missed out on getting one of his pieces... here is a great opportunity to grab one while they are hot! There will be a variety of price ranges so don't be shy.

Dj Sessions from Seattle will also be there spinning some fresh beats for the crowd and who knows... Maybe there will be some Celebs there!

WOULD YOU CONSIDER THIS A MIX TAPE?

I have spun many a records and made plenty of mixes... But for some reason making Mixtapes are something completely different. When I was a kid, I would make mix tapes with my Boombox and WPLJ Radio station. Little did I know there was an art to making a mix tape. It was not only making a list of songs that would work together, but also making sure the EQ's were also dialed and the art work for the cover was cool. Making a mixtape for a girlrfiend or ex-girlfriend was a totally different art form and I know that you know what I'm talking about. I made so many over the years and of course I can't find any of them. Since I started DJ'ing, I have made several mixtapes. Actually I think I made about 10 or so actual "Mixtapes." Damn... I wish I still had some of those. I got my computer around 2000 and started making mix cd's. I fucking hated calling them that. I have made quite a few mix cd's and once again I think I actually have only 2 mixes on record... oh well. Every time you would say "mixtape," people would be like... "They still make tapes?" Anyway... They are always going to be mixtapes to me and I always love making them. I have just recently got a copy of my last mix from my friend because, of course, I don't have one. I figured I would share this with you. I only tried this mix about 5 times before I had to have a CD Release Party. I'm stoked on it... So enjoy!
